Recently, State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a total as soon vacancies for the post of SBI CBO. The official notification for the recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) across the country was released on Nov 2025. The selection process will include an Online Test and Interview round.

SBI CBO Exam Pattern 2025
The recruitment process for SBI CBO 2025 shall consist of an Online Written Test & an Interview round as explained below:
Online Written Test
a. Objective Test:
The Online test will be having 2 subsections/tests namely, an Objective Tests having 120 marks and a Descriptive Test having 50 marks.

Note:There will be No Negative Marking for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.
b. Descriptive Test:
The total duration of Descriptive Test will be of 30 minutes. This test shall include a Test of English Language having 2 questions (Letter Writing & Essay) for 50 marks.
The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Online Written Test. There will be no sectional qualifying marks.
Note:The Descriptive Test will be conducted on the same day after the completion of the Objective Test in online mode only.
Interview Round
The Interview round will be of 50 marks total. A minimum qualifying mark (as decided by the bank) will be required to be scored by the candidate in the interview so as to be considered for final merit list.
The candidates need to qualify separately in both ‘Online Written Test’ and ‘Interview’. The marks obtained in Online written Test shall be included along with the marks obtained in Interview round for preparing the final merit list. The final merit list shall be prepared according to the normalization method having 75:25 weightage respectively. The Marks scored by the candidate in the ‘Online Written Exam’ (out of 170 marks) will be converted to (out of 75 marks) and Interview scores of candidates (out of 50 marks) are converted to (out of 25 marks). Hence, the final merit list will be prepared after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Online Written test and Interview (State wise and category wise).

How To Apply
Step 1: Open the official website of SBI careers
Step 2: Now locate the link in the name “SBI Recruitment of Circle Based Officer” and open it by clicking on it.
Step 3: Click for “Apply Online” tab, then click on the NEW REGISTRATION button available on the top right corner.
Step 4: Provide the necessary details such as your name, contact number, email address etc.
Step 5: After successful registration, Login again with the new registration ID and password received on your mail id & phone & complete the remaining portion of application form such as academic details, professional qualification, experience etc.
Step 6: Then as per the prescribed format of SBI, upload your passport size photograph and signature.
Step 7: Finally, click on ‘Preview’ to cross check your application form and make the payment of the required application fee as the available modes.
Step 8: After that submit your application by clicking on ‘Submit’ Button & take printout of a few copies for future reference.
